Arrival We encourage the children to be as independent as possible from the very start, so, wherever possible, allow your child to organise him/herself at the beginning of the day.

School Dinners The School provides daily cook dinners or children can bring their own packed lunch.  Ashford Hill has won several awards for providing healthy meals.  The cost £2.00 per meal (From 20th April, 2009).

The children are encouraged to eat healthily and develop good eating habits, and so we ask you not to send chocolates or crisps as playtime snacks.

Collection Children are collected from their classroom doors at the end of the school day.

Absence Full communication is requested in the event of absence because of sickness. On your child’s return to school, a letter with details of the absence should be sent. Class teachers should be informed in writing of planned absence for medical / dental appointments.

Medicine If your child needs to take medicine during school hours, it should be clearly labelled with child’s name, dosage etc. and handed into the school office by a person with parental responsibility where a consent form will need to be signed

All other information on uniform etc is available from the school office
