Welcome

Sue Watson

Welcome to the Ashford Hill Primary School website.  It is designed to give you a sense of our school, the team that run it and, most importantly an overview of the activities and curriculum which our pupils enjoy all year round.  Further information on all aspects of the school’s organisation and ethos are available from the 2009 school brochure which you can download from this site.

Ashford Hill Primary School is in the rural parish of Ashford Hill with Headley in Hampshire.  We are proud of our children’s many achievements and the family atmosphere in our small village school (approx 120 pupils).  Valuing all children’s achievements in a caring atmosphere is central to everything we do at the school, encouraging each member of the school to take responsibility for their own and each other’s wellbeing.

We are committeed to ensuring a challenging education and academic success for all our pupils.  Underpinning this is a broad curriculum which offers opportunities to develop skills in all areas – intellectural, physical and creative.  This is extended by our extra curricular activities.  Together, these are designed to provide each child with a range of experiences which prepare them for the challenges of everyday life as they develop through and move on from Ashford Hill School.

The School has very active links with the community in many ways for example individuals who come in and help in the school, work with the local church parish district and county councils, we enjoy support from local businesses and links with specialists in their fields as well as the local secondary schools.

We have an exceptional team of staff, governors and Parent Teacher Association (“PTA”) members who are all committed and work together to ensure the happiness, security and highest levels of education for the children we have under our care.  If you are interested in seeing for yourself please contact us and we would be delighted to meet you and show you round, alternatively please download the latest school brochure.
